Ana Carney is a Clinical Research Coordinator Associate in the Department of Anesthesia, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine. She attended Swarthmore College where she obtained a major in Neuroscience and a minor in Spanish. In the Groenewald and Rabbitts labs, Ana supports research investigating the relationship between sleep, surgery recovery and opioid use in adolescents. She is assisting in the translation of research material into Spanish and serves as the primary contact for Spanish-speaking participants. In the future, she plans to attend medical school and provide care to youth suffering from neurological conditions, particularly underserved Spanish-speaking populations.
